Landstraße
The Linzer Landstraße, stretching from the Hauptplatz past the Taubenmarkt towards the south, is one of Austria’s three busiest shopping streets. In 1977, it was largely closed to car traffic and designated a pedestrian zone – Austria’s first at the time. Today, numerous attractive shopping arcades, stores, and boutiques invite visitors to enjoy a shopping stroll in a beautiful setting.
